Product Description
About Ajrakh Art: Its a hand block printing technique of resist dying, practised mainly by Khatri community in Kutchh region of Gujarat. It requires lot of skill and patience to create a beautiful piece of Ajrakh art. Each fabric goes through multiple stages of dying and printing and it takes about 10 days to create a piece of dupatta or sari. Nature plays an important role in creating these pieces, as the main pigments include indigo and madder. When you buy ajrakh, you support artisans and help revive an age old art form.
