The dupatta is an amalgamation of 3 different textile and fabric arts of India. Mashru silk is a handwoven silk made using natural silk fibers and weaving this fabric is an art in itself mastered mainly by artisans in Kutchch region of Gujarat. The main body of dupatta has patterns created using tie and die and the sides have hand block printed ajrakh prints using natural dyes. It makes for a collector's piece to treasure for years and also a heirloom piece to pass on to the next generations.
